The Construction Practices team has vast experience in all phases of design and construction for a variety of project types.

Pre-Construction
-
Confirm Owner's project objectives, budget and schedule.

Represent the Owner throughout pre-construction period.

Aid in site selection.
-
Assist with feasibility studies.
-
Assist with assembling site information (geo-tech, survey, environmental).
-
Assist with assembling design team (architect, civil engineer, PME engineer, structural engineer).
-
Review proposals and contracts.
-
Assist in developing/review project budget.
-
Represent Owner's interest in design meetings and meetings with contractors, vendors, and local authorities.

Review preliminary construction cost estimates.
-
Review construction documents for conformance with project objectives and constructability.
-
Assist with permitting process.
-
Assist with bid/negotiation process with contractor(s) and Owner's vendors.

Review Owner & Contractor Agreement.

Review construction schedule.
Construction Phase
-
Represent the Owner throughout construction.
-
Represent the Owner at key meetings.
-
Communicate project objectives to designers and contractors.
-
Attend regular on-site project meetings/calls.
-
Visit site at appropriate intervals to monitor construction progress/review schedule.
-
Review Architect-approved applications for payment from contractor(s).
-
Review monthly invoices from consultants and vendors.
-
Represent Owner during State/Local inspections.
-
Review construction change order requests (COR) from contractor.
-
Monitor status of contractor's requests for information (RFIs), design team field reports, and independent testing lab (ITL) reports.

Monitor project budget.

Review project schedule.
Post-Construction
-
Coordinate Owner occupancy/move-in activities (signage, IT, art, window treatments).
-
Assist with project close-out.
-
Confirm completion of punch lists.
-
Confirm receipt of lien waivers and warranty information.
